Every single second we continually believe that our thinking is real, and yet each fleeting moment, situation, belief, or perspective can always be viewed from an infinite number of different perspectives. And I'm talking about INFINITE here... not just the incredibly limited few options that each of us personally believes may be possible. You know, all those thoughts that we rationalize, reason, justify, and righteously defend to be true, until of course, another option we hadn't yet considered is invariably realized.
Using our thinking to see through the illusion of our thinking?... OK, I think I see the problem here.
LOL
In view of the INFINITE, how ridiculous is it to believe that our limited range of possible views about anything are relevant and valid and the truth?... And yet we live most of our lives believing our thinking to be real, and that there is a "right" answer for each thing.
But here's the funny thing... Take a moment to consider that as thinking beings, the only way we can see through the illusion of our thinking is by using our thinking! Isn't that kind of like using water to dry up a flood?
And maybe that's the deal. We actually can't ever see through our thinking with our thinking, even though we "think" we can. Say that three times fast.
Maybe that's why it takes something different... having the experience of dropping all of our personal thinking for a brief moment to somehow see and feel the truth within.
And when we get a glimpse of that, then all of our thinking is suddenly realized for the arbitrary silliness that it actually is.
And so think about that, or not!

This is lovely, Jonelle - a lovely way to talk about thinking, & the nonsense that comes from taking it seriously. You share this understanding in a lovely way!

Thanks Steve. I love the craziness of the fact that we're making it all up and have absolutely no idea. It continues to amuse me every time I think about it.
